Fundraising is crucial to the running of Stepping Stones Preschool. We are very grateful for the hard work and support of our committee, parents and local community in helping us to raise additional funds every year. The money raised through fundraising is used to buy new toys, resources and equipment for the children to enjoy whilst here with us.
Stepping Stones is a registered charity and is managed by a committee of volunteer members. There are a number of positions in the committee including Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer. The committee is involved in ensuring that the preschool runs smoothly and in accordance with the policies set by Ofsted and the Early Years Alliance. It is also involved in ensuring the preschool remains financially stable and in the ongoing process of raising funds through fundraising and grant applications. Members get access to the minutes of meetings and are encouraged to suggest and develop fundraising ideas. Any parent can offer help though and we strongly encourage everyone to get involved with and support our fundraising activities.
Fundraising and volunteering for Stepping Stones gives parents the opportunity to give back to the setting and to make use of their individual skills and experience.
